What we did

"In the first year of the programme Derry City Council delivered 5 projects throughout the city as indicated on our map. Using creative approaches these projects encouraged participation and awareness of issues related to Neighbourhood Renewal."

"Using film-making, music, the verbal arts, photography and visual arts the participants discussed topics including housing, recreation, the future use of MOD sites, the potential of the river to enhance local economy, the creation of village greens, a local caravan site, public art and disability access to the city centre."

Derry City Council's Arts and Regeneration project is funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland National Lottery Fund.

The Arts and Regeneration project has been established to strengthen community involvement in regeneration issues. The project is coordinated by Alice McCartney, Arts and Regeneration Officer in Derry City Council.
