"Any work that seeks to express a desire for regeneration, we feel, has to have children at its centre, for they are best equipped to project into a future unencumbered by a sentimentality for the past. Their community is changing and although that might be unsettling for us, for them it is exciting. …the multitudinous notion of community should be generated by the community.
Our job as artists, is to facilitate that process and shape the material that is produced into something that not only expresses what a community is, but expresses a desire of what it could be.’"
